Inclusion Leadership Development Group

The Inclusion Leadership Development Group part of the NJIETA project includes three components: the Inclusion Leadership Development Group, ongoing Leadership Development, and two annual Inclusion Leadership Conferences. All three components are included in the application below.

The Inclusion Leadership Development Group will meet from 4-6 times a year in a central location. The goals of the Inclusion Leadership Development Group are to:

  1. Review information gathered from the NJIETA Systemic Change Facilitation sites and Technical Assistance sites;

  2. Identify obstacles or challenges to inclusive education in New Jersey; and

  3. Develop suggestions or guidance for New Jersey schools on inclusive efforts.

Leadership Development

Leadership Development will be offered through training provided before or after the ILDG meetings.

Inclusion Leadership Conferences

There will be two Inclusion Leadership Conferences in 2022. One conference will be hosted virtually in the spring, and the other will be in person at a Central Jersey location in the summer.

Each conference features a plenary session and breakout sessions of workshops. A light breakfast and lunch are provided at the summer conference for free.

The next Inclusion Leadership Conference will be on June 28, 2022 at the David Brearley Middle and High School in Kenilworth. Details about the Summer Inclusion Leadership Conference can be viewed here.
