New Jersey Positive Behavior Support in Schools (NJ PBSIS)

New Jersey Positive Behavior Support in Schools (NJ PBSIS) is a collaboration between the New Jersey Department of Education Office of Special Education and The Boggs Center, Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School and funded by I.D.E.A Part B. The mission of the NJ PBSIS initiative is to build capacity among New Jersey school personnel to implement a multi-tiered system of support that results in equitable access to a continuum of behavior, conduct, and social-emotional wellness interventions for all students.

The Northeast and Caribbean Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC)

The Northeast and Caribbean Mental Health Technology Transfer Center (MHTTC) provides training, technical assistance, and consultation on the implementation of comprehensive school mental health services, multi-tiered systems of support, and mental health education and interventions. The Center provides services throughout NJ, NY, PR, and USVI.

Unified Champion Schools (UCS)

This project between the Rowan University College of Education and Special Olympics New Jersey integrates all aspects of Unified Champion Schools (UCS) in order to embrace and promote inclusivity, health and wellness, social and emotional growth, and leadership among students with and without disabilities in grades PreK-12. UCS components: Young Athletes in Schools (ages 2-7), Whole School Engagement, Unified Sports, and Inclusive Youth Leadership.

The Learning Resource Center-South (LRC-South)

The Learning Resource Center-South promotes the practices of inclusive education through the provision of resources, services, and professional learning opportunities. Services include an educational resource lending library; a self-service production center; online, in-person, and in-district professional learning opportunities; and mobile outreach support to schools in southern New Jersey.

The Community Based Instruction (CBI) Project

The Community Based Instruction (CBI) Project provides training and technical assistance opportunities for districts and private schools throughout the state to build capacity in the use of evidence-based practice of leveraging the community as a learning environment to improve post-school outcomes.

The Person-Centered Approaches in Schools and Transition (PCAST) Project

The Person-Centered Approaches in Schools and Transition (PCAST) Project provides a tiered system of support to school districts in developing and implementing person-centered practices for students with disabilities that promotes their successful education and transition from school to adult life.

START-Engaging Parents of Students with Disabilities

START-Engaging Parents of Students with Disabilities offers programs and services that support the engagement of families to improve outcomes for students, including developing and supporting special education parent advisory and parent groups in communities and school districts, providing families with information about the benefits of inclusive education, promoting the NJ Tiered Systems of Support Framework, and Increasing the capacity of schools and parent leaders to engage families in promoting literacy achievement.
